What is Art Therapy?
Art therapy is a creative approach that uses artistic expression to explore emotions, process experiences, and support mental and emotional wellbeing.
Group art therapy sessions provide a supportive, non-judgmental environment where individuals can explore creativity alongside others on similar journeys. Guided prompts and a variety of materials help ease you into the creative process — no artistic experience is needed. Each session offers time for reflection, self-expression, and sharing, allowing for both personal insight and meaningful group connection.
About the Workshop
This art therapy group workshop, on 9 February 2026, is for anyone who feels stuck in a routine, mentally overloaded, senses something is missing in life, feels drained or uninspired, and wants to explore a change. Together, we’ll take a pause from the daily rush and use simple, everyday materials and our surroundings to create something new and meaningful from the ordinary. The workshop will also provide space to:
- Slow down, breathe, and take a break from routine
- Notice personal needs and patterns that often go unseen
- Express needs and ideas through making, rather than words alone
- Explore change without pressure, goals, or expectations
- Connect with creativity as a tool for reflection, not performance
- Experiment with simple, accessible materials
- Reconnect with curiosity, intuition, and play
Using materials that are easily accessible and found around the house, participants are invited to express themselves through art, reflect on personal experiences, and cultivate connections with others through thoughtfully guided activities.
The focus of these workshops is not on learning art techniques or creating a “perfect” artwork, but on using art as a tool for emotional expression and personal growth. There is no right or wrong—every creation is valued and celebrated. For this reason, no prior art experience is required; anyone interested in taking a step toward greater wellbeing and deeper self-discovery is welcome
