Art Therapy in Barcelona | Individual and Group Sessions, Creative Workshops

About Me

I’m Beril Karakaya, an art therapist based in Barcelona, passionate about guiding others through creativity, well-being, and self-discovery. I find inspiration in the quiet, often fleeting moments where art helps us make sense of our inner world.

I’ve always had a deep curiosity about the human mind and behavior — and a lifelong passion for art. In my most difficult moments, art became my refuge. It offered a space of safety and reflection, a mirror through which I could begin to understand myself.

I studied Psychology at Bilkent University in Turkey, but a part of me always knew I wanted to integrate art into my practice. When I discovered art therapy, something clicked — it brought together everything I cared about. I moved to Barcelona to pursue a Master’s in Artistic Therapies, and completed a triple degree in Art Therapy, Theater Therapy, and Music Therapy at ISEP.

Since then, I’ve had the privilege of working with people from diverse backgrounds — including those navigating stress, restlessness, low mood, life transitions, relocation, cultural adjustment, and children facing social challenges. Along the way, I’ve supported individuals in finding personal insight, grounding, and emotional clarity through the creative process.

Whether through painting, collage, movement, or free expression, I believe art offers a language that speaks when words fall short.

I’m currently based in Barcelona, where I offer one-on-one sessions and creative workshops based in art therapy — creating safe, compassionate spaces for well-being, reflection, and personal transformation, from a non-clinical approach.
